OK, here's the latest from the Bennetts. Can this take the place of a Wednesday report? I've just begun exploring how this blog-thing works and how to arrange it, but here's a start! Enjoy the pictures of our family. We think they're the best!
We had a fun time celebrating with Brian as he passed out of his youth into his more mature years. Sheena surprised him with a party on Friday and had invited many of his buddies and their families. She did a taco bar with chips & salsa & guacamole and an great cake with a big red "U" on it. Of course Bruce and I think it should have been blue! It was fun seeing some of the friends and their wives and kids. It's hard to believe that they've all gotten so old! Then Sunday we had the gang here for family dinner. Brian & Bruce grilled steaks and brauts outside and we added salad, baked potatoes, rolls and Marie Callendar's pies for dessert. YUM! Of course some of the neighbors and ward members may wonder about the large beer cans in the Bishop's trash on Monday....but honestly, they're part of Brian's secret brautwurst recipe, and they are GOOD!
WELCOME,,,,,,,,,,,,
Glad you came to visit! Please leave a message if you'd like.

Welcome baby Charlie
Most of you know of the wonderful happenings in the life of Mark & Kate Butler. Their beautiful boy Charlie arrived last Wednesday. Bruce and I have had the privilege of having them and Kate's mom, Lisa, staying with us since Charlie was released from the hospital. Previous lodging arrangements didn't work out, and since we have two extra bedrooms, we were glad to welcome them to stay with us until the paperwork and legal stuff is completed and they can take Charlie home to Rexburg. He's a darling baby and really good, too! Kate isn't sure about the lack of sleep babies cause, but compared to some babies--he's doing really well. Mark has returned to Rexburg to earn the thousands of dollars his mom told him he'll need to buy formula and diapers, but I'm sure he'll be back on Friday. He's been so cute about the whole "dad" thing, and I know he's going to be a great father. Both he and Kate are pretty much "head-over-heels" in love with their little guy! It's wonderful to watch from the sidelines.
